Norman Lindsay

Australian Artist

Norman Lindsay was born in Creswick, Victoria, in 1879. He first came to prominence as an illustrator on the ‘Bulletin’. Like his brother Lionel, he was a prolific writer with many books to his credit.

He is recognised as Australia’s premier etcher and, with his wife Rose, produced many of the most sought after etchings available. His works are represented in all major public collections in Australia. He died in 1969.
