Bernard Ollis

Bernard Ollis was born in England in 1951 and is an Australian artist who lives and works in Sydney. He is widely recognised for his expressive paintings and drawings that capture urban landscapes, interiors, still life subjects and scenes from everyday life with energy and immediacy. Bernard has exhibited extensively throughout Australia and internationally and has built a highly regarded career spanning several decades. His work is held in numerous public, corporate and private collections and he has been a finalist in many of Australia’s leading art prizes, including the Archibald Prize, the Wynne Prize and the Sulman Prize. His work is known for its vibrant colour, strong sense of movement and ability to transform ordinary moments and locations into dynamic painterly compositions.
