Ramon Ward-Thompson
Australian Artist
Born in New Zealand in 1941, Ramon moved to Australia in 1964. He is a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of New South Wales and has been painting on a full-time basis for over 40 years. He has had many successful one-man exhibitions and his works have been reproduced in limited edition books and prints. Ramon’s instantly recognisable oil paintings take their inspiration from the Australian Impressionist masters that Ramon studied, such as Rubery Bennet and Frederick McCubbin. His work has enjoyed wide popularity and success with many sell-out exhibitions. His paintings are represented in institutional and private collections in the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States of America and Australia. Now residing in Sydney’s lower North Shore, Ramon has retired from painting.
